Tonight the City of Opa-locka is hosting a forum on maintaining the integrity of the voting process. Representatives from the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office Community Outreach Division and the Miami-Dade County Elections Department will speak and answer community questions.
The forum will take place at the Opa-locka city commission chamber tonight at 6pm on the 2nd floor of the municipal complex building, 780 Fisherman Street.
According to a press release sent from Sate Attorney Katherine Fernandez-Rundle’s office, the forum discussion includes the permissible and appropriate absentee ballot protocols and the penalties and repercussions for violation of the law.
