Neighborhood Beautification
The main objective of neighborhood beautification is regeneration and transformation of neighborhoods by tackling slum and blight areas throughout the City. This is accomplished through:
  • Improving neighborhood appearance by promoting tree planting and landscaping along city streets
  • Starting adopt-a-block street campaigns
  • Introducing of a litter campaign
  • Stopping illegal dumping and instituting an illegal dumping hotline reporting system
  • Picking up trash and sweeping streets regularly
  • Continuing to enforce code inspections requiring residential/businesses owners to maintain their property according to City’s Code of Ordinances
  • Educate the public about zoning / building codes
  • Reviewing flooding issues
  • Improving sidewalks (installation of curb and gutters)
  • Cleaning drainage areas
