The Purchasing Department thanks you for your interest in doing business with the City of Opa-Locka. We hope this information is helpful in your business experience with the City.

The Purchasing Department is responsible for the acquisition of all supplies, materials, equipment and services required by required by all City departments in accordance with the City’s Code, Miami Dade County Cade, and Florida State Statutes. The Purchasing Department is dedicated to the standards of competition and fairness. The Department's goal is to ensure that Opa-locka residents receive the optimum value for every expenditure. 

We encourage all vendors to participate in doing business with the City of Opa-locka.  To register as a vendor for the City, complete a vendor application.

We also encourage all vendors or individuals interested in current open solicitations to complete “Notify Me”.  Just enter you email address to subscribe to immediate email notifications of the posting of bids, RFP’s, RFQ’s, etc.


Purchasing Regulations
The City of Opa Locka Procurement Ordinance is a part of the City’s Administrative Codes found in Article VI, Division 1. Generally, Section 2-346 describes the rules and regulations for the operation of the Purchasing Department and details the duties, functions, and authority of the purchasing manager.
